The waist is a problem. It has eight panels and is gaping at the back, probably about 3 or 4cm with my bow back, which makes it look a bit scarecrow, particularly in the black.
I tried just pinning in the back seams a bit but that skewed the front so it didn’t sit properly at the side, so I will have to shave a bit off each panel to keep the side seams straight. Bit of a PITA but thats okay, thats what toiles are for.
Fitting the shoulders will be so much easier and, yes, armholes and sleeves that are too tight are not comfortable. I will shape the waist just a bit for the broadcloth and do a swatch with the wool to compare and soldier on, but so far I think I may have to grade down to an 8 at the waist, maybe.
